Fatty acids
Molecules that constitute lipids. The fatty acids are differentiated by their chain length as well as by the existence, number, nature and position of one or more double bonds between two carbon atoms. According to this configuration they are called saturated fatty acids (without a double bond); monounsaturated (with a single double bond); polyunsaturated (with a minimum of 2 double bonds).
Fibroblast
A skin cell that produces collagen and elastin.
Fitnol®
A slimming lipid extract of cartham oil that is naturally found in food (animal fats, meat, milk and milk products).
Free radicals
Highly reactive and unstable molecules which are derived from oxygen and which attack fragile molecules in the cells (DNA, lipids, proteins) until they are entirely degraded. Their proliferation is accentuated by the sun, pollution and tobacco; they are the main cause of the ageing of the cell.
