As we know, there are many reasons for ageing, and it is brought about in various ways, as is explained below:
1- Oxidative stress
Naturally, the body produces unstable and highly reactive molecules which are derived from oxygen: free radicals.
We can protect ourselves by a balanced diet from free radicals, which are directly responsible for the ageing of the cell.
However, nutritional surveys show that our food does not provide us with the necessary quantity of anti-oxidants (carotenoids, selenium, vitamin E, Omega 3 essential fatty acids) to fight against the oxidizing activity of free radicals and other factors (tobacco, even passively inhaled, alcohol, stress, pollution), bring about an increased production of these aggressive elements.
2- Glucidic stress
When glycemy (the level of sugar in the blood), is permanently high, as in the case of diabetics or those who take too much sugar, the skin ages more quickly.
3- Real stress Moodiness and, above all, stress bring about a reduction in the natural defence system of the skin and, as a result, an acceleration of the ageing process.
