Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is a slimming lipid, naturally present in food, which was identified at the beginning of the 1980s.
It is found in animal fats, meat, milk and milk produce. We receive 150 to 300 mg a day from our food, whilst the benefit occurs at a level of 1,2 mg a day. It contributes to reducing the stocking of fat in the organism by using it as a source of energy for the lean mass (particularly the muscles), to the detriment of the fat mass. It has an effect on the modification of the composition of the body by reducing the fat mass and by increasing thermogenesis in the muscle.
